Greece > Minors

Minors are often held in detention what is officially not allowed. Their age is often changed by the authorities to make them older.

If you get released, it is your right as a minor to get a place to stay. There is a lack of accomodation, so most probably you will not have access.

If you are a minor and have family members in other European countries, with the help of a lawyer you can apply for a so called "family reunification" with your relatives. For this procedure it is important to give your exact name and dates, fitting to the dates of your family members. Contact the Greek Refugee Council to assist you (see contacts).
